Full Description
A cairn 18 ft diameter 2 ft high defaced by a trench from the west side to the centre leaving a horse-shoe shaped mound. Information from A A Woodham to OS 9 August 1963.
This is an old corn-drying kiln.
Visited by OS (N K B) 16 Feburary 1970.
What may be a kiln occupies a rocky outcrop within deciduous woodland at the NE end of Loch Duntelchaig; it measures about 2m from NE to SW by 0.5m transversely within a rubble-walled structure, faced on the inside, some 0.6m in height and spread to about 1.75m in thickness, which is open to the SW.
