Full Description
An area of field clearance cairns, situated on the S-facing slope of Cnoc a' Bhuachille, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Dalchreichart by Wordsworth Archaeological Services in 1998. The cairns are spread over an area measuring about 150m by 50m and are bounded on the E of a modern track The W edge of the area has been destroyed by a forestry plantation. Some of the cairns at towards the upper end of the area appear to be constructed on low mounds. One of these cairns has a c.1m wide depression in its centre. <1>
