A walkover survey in April 2008 noted this cottage as "The Narrows". During the field walkover it was noted that the property is a 1 1/2 storey cottage, stone built, quoin detail stones, slate roof, double gable wall chimney stack, double dormer windows at front, single at the rear. There is a small annex structure attached to the rear of the property. The cottage is occupied and in good condition. <1>

The grid reference provided by the NMRS, and the OS Mastermap annotation, suggests that this cottage is "Westfields" and not "The Narrows". Westfields is first depicted on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map of 1905. <2><3>
