NJ02SW 41 00 20.
Built in 1764-8 by Sr James Grant and was destroyed by a flood in 1799. It was replaced by the present bridge (see MHG15407). <1>
Mr G Henni, Edinburgh suggests that there was a single-span bridge slightly S of present 3-span bridge (see NJ02SW 28) at Nethybridge. Exact location of this bridge was not found on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire sheet XLVI).
Information from RCAHMS (RC) 12/4/01.
The placename on the OS 1st-2nd edition maps of 'Old Bridgend' just to the southeast of the current bridge does tend to suggest a general location. NGR moved to this location on the river (IS-L 17/09/2013).
