Full Description
Braal Castle was built as a hotel in 1856 over the existing abandoned vaults of an unfinished replacement mansion house for the nearby Braal tower house. The tower house had latterly belonged to the Sinclairs of Ulbster who decided to construct a larger house on the site but it was never completed. <1>
