This destroyer of the Admiralty Design variant of the K (Acasta) class was built by London and Glasgow (later Harland and Wolff) at Glasgow, to the Admiralty Design and as part of the 1911-12 programme. She was completed in 1913 and mined off the Moray Firth in 1915.
