Found with wrecks of HMS Exmouth and FV Trident, for which see ND73SE 8001 and ND56SW 8001 respectively.

The map sheet allocated to this record is arbitrary. Larn and Larn suggest a location at N58 18 WW2 25 [ND c. 75 34], 38nm NNW of 'Kinniard' [Kinnaird] Head.
The wreck was apparently discovered by Stewart McDermott in 2001 while searching for HMS Exmouth (ND73SE 8001) but no accurate location has been published.

MS Tekla. This Danish merchant ship was sunk by U-22 about one hour after HMS Exmouth (ND73SE 8001), on 21 January 1940. Divers from the HMS Exmouth Expedition identified and recorded the wreck lying in three portions at a depth of 68m. Neither the bell nor a ship's name was found but the identification was confirmed against photographs on the basis of hull and superstructure form, and identified fittings. The length was estimated at 250 ft (76m) as against a recorded figure (cited by Whittaker) of 75m.
The bow portion was distinguished by its straight stem and two anchors of 'distinctive' form; the plating which would have held the name of the ship did not survive. The superstructure was in poor condition and 'crushed by the hull'. The stern formed a third portion, lying in line with the bow.
