The remains of a farmstead comprising two buildings and an enclosure, situated on a NW-facing slope, were noted during a forestry survey at Clune Hill. The SW building is defined by a one course high, mortared stone wall which is 0.5m thick. There is no obvious entrance and a slight ditch, 2.5m wide surrounds the structure. An L-shaped structure, also reduced to its footings, lies 8m to the E. It is of a cruder construction with rounded rather than dressed stones and may possibly have been turf-walled. Aligned from NE to SW on its main axis, it measures 26m by 5m. The return us 11m long and has opposed entrances midway along its length. On the S, the edge of a terrace has been revetted with a drystone wall standing up to 1.5m in height. A square enclosure, measuring 26m across within a depleted drystone wall which only survives to its full height (where it is capped by turf) for a short stretch on the SW. Mature larch and sycamore are planted on the edge of the enclosure.
Both buildings and the enclosure are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet xix) although the N building is depicted, roofed, whilst that on the S is shown as unroofed on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1904, sheet xix,).
