Location of loss specifically cited as 'in the river entrance at Brora Harbour' and classification as 'Fifie'.

Possibly on map sheet NC80SE. Brora Point is not noted as such on the 1996 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the name be convincingly equated with the rocky projection at NC 912 030, to the S of the town of Brora and the mouth of the River Brora.
