The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary, being derived from the location cited by Larn and Larn. Thse authors list the wreck in their section DD ('Orkney Islands') but this may be anomalous. It is more probably to be placed within the quasi-administrative area of Maritime -Highland.
Whittaker cites two possible locations, one of them off Auskerry (Orkney).
