Full Description

ND24NW 20 2085 4611.

In the area centred ND 2085 4611, just W of due S of sheepfold ND24NW 13, on either side of the Allt Badleathan, are two possible man-made features.
That on the S side of the burn is a heather-covered annular bank situated on the rise above the watercourse. It has an overall diameter of 8m, with the bank, 0.15m high, spread to 1.55m. It is possible that this is a hut circle or shieling.
That on the N side of the burn is a grass-covered mound 6.4m long by 4.8m wide and 1m high. Immediately to the NW was a flat grassy area, in an area otherwise covered in heather. In a landscape which is comparatively flat, this feature looked out of place. However, it is recognised that it could be natural rather than man-made.
