Site of (NAT), Cairn (NR) A Stone Coffin containing Human Remains found here (NAT)
OS 6"map, Caithness, 2nd ed., (1876)
The name applies to a small natural eminence. A stone coffin was found c1812 when a heap of stones on summit was removed.
Name Book 1872.

At site is a low eminence adjacent to a stone quarry and cut by an old track. Some stone is exposed in side of the cutting, otherwise there is no evidence of a cairn.
