Full Description

Achforsiescye: Two ruined longhouses up to 1m high; one has the remains of a kiln at the S end. The structure to the NNW is a longhouse, remodelled as a sheepfold, and now falling into disrepair. Field walls and cleared ground with rig and furrow attend the structures.
Visited by OS (J B) 28 July 1981.

What may be a township comprising six unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and three enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xvi). Four unroofed buildings and one enclosure are shown on the OS 1:10560 map (1963).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 15 September 1995.
