Full Description
ND37NW 5 341 764.
A deep chasm known as the Giddy Geo extends southward for a distance of about 120 yds. Immediately to E of this, at seaward end, is a low, stony mound which is probably a cairn. It measures 25ft in diameter and 2ft in height.
RCAHMS 1911.
No trace of a cairn remains at seaward end of Giddy Geo. The whole of this area is now covered by a disused quarry, and it is likely that cairn has been destroyed. No further info could be obtained locally.
Visited by OS (R B) 24 February 1965.
A number of spoil heaps associated with quarrying occur in vicinity; no cairn is evident.
Visited by OS (J B) 20 July 1982.
