Beside Grantown Station, a village comprising three unroofed, one partially roofed, eight roofed buildings, one of which is a smithy, and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1872-4, sheet xxxv). Two unroofed, five roofed buildings and four enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1976).
