NH45NE 16 48 58.
Three short cists and a separate 'cinerary urn' were found 1896 in a mound of sand and gravel at Croch Fionne, Strathpeffer.
Formed of slabs of claystone with a large cover-stone, two of cists were about 3.5' long and third somewhat smaller. Each contained a fragmentary skeleton, but no grave goods. The urn was found near centre of mound in a black mass containing charcoal. A similar substance filled urn which was 6" high, 7.25" across mouth 5 .25" at base and was decorated below the lip with oblique intersecting lines.(Information from Dr Fortescue Fox)
No bone fragments occurred.
