OS 6"map, (1971)
Sron an Duin - "Nose of the Dun" - a hillock (ONB 1870). The name implies the existence of a fortification but all that can be seen on air photographs (Visible on RAF air photograph 106G/Scot/UK/ 61: 3120-1; flown 8 May 1946) is a possible enclosure at NN 2855 8227.
Name Book 1870.
At the site indicated on the aerial photographs there are no artificial features of any description and a perambulation of the area yielded no indication of a dun or other artificial features.
