Full Description
Centred on 0385 0564
Earth-and-stone banks, defining two fields, and at least one hut are disposed along a heather- and bracken-covered terrace running back from the rocky shore between Badenscallie and Acheninver. The field banks define the E edge of an area of lazy-beds, measuring up to 4m across and 40m in length, which cover the terrace. The hut (ACHIL94 161, NC 0385 0564) lies within a field and has been built against boulders at the back of the terrace, measuring 3.1m from N to S by 1.7m internally. Fragments of walling along the base of the cliff to the S of the hut, may be the remains of further huts.
