Mr Colin Mackenzie, Thurso (Caithness FC) reports that there is a grain kiln with barn below this site and beside the stream at GR ND07202437. The kiln lies at the upper end of the barn - HAW 20/5/2003

Four unroofed buildings, an enclosure and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1964). A head-dyke and an enclosure which is labelled as a sheepfold and which both lie in an area of improved ground that is called Buaile na h-Aodainn are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xlii).
