Full Description
A 4.9m square lean-to dovecot with two string courses, now roofless but with pigeon boxes intact. The W and E walls are both pierced by an unusual oval pigeon access hole. Probably late 17th - early 18th century date.
Visited by OS (A A) 15 September 1973.
The building was photographed by S Kruse during the ARCH Ardersier and Hilton Local Heritage Project in 2013. <1>
Ruins of early 18th century lectern dovecote close to house; approximately 600 nesting boxes, mural vents, rat courses; much overgrown with vegetation.
