Full Description

NH92NE 9 9833 2501.

At NH 9833 2501 on a whin covered rocky knoll are the possible remains of a dun. The knoll is pear-shaped with a flat top measuring c.12.0m E to W by c.7.0m transversely at its widest. It is protected by steep slopes in the N, W and S and in the E, the easiest approach, by a stony scarp,
c.2.5m high, which may be partly artificial. The quantity of stones in the scarp suggests that it is the tumble from a wall but no facing stones are evident.
Visited by OS (R L) 16 February 1971.
