Fort William, 16th Feb., the MOIR, of Banff, with slates, is stranded at Corran, expected to be saved.

Fort William, 16th Feb., the MOIR, of Banff, which ran ashore in Corran yesterday, struck on the Ferry pier, and being holed is now sunk. At high water she is almost covered, but it is expected that both vessel and cargo will be got up. She was bound from Ballachulish to Dundee, with slates, Smith, master.[Record received incomplete].

The 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map notes a pier at NN 016 637. The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), suggesting that the vessel was successfully recovered.
