Fort William, 19th Nov., the DE SALABERY, Crask, from Quebec to Glasgow, with deals, was towed in here on the evening of 17th Nov. by the ARVON (schr.), of and from Carnarvon, for Banff. She reports that on the 15th Nov. she came to anchor off Rhuda Mhail, but parted chain, and had to cut away foremast to avoid going ashore, and on the 17th accepted offer of ARVON to take her in tow. She had previously, on the 3rd and 11th Nov., sustained some damage by shipping heavy seas.

Corpach, 20th Nov., the DE SALABERY, of South Shields, from Quebec to Greenock, is still in Fort William roads. The master has telegraphed for a [Record received incomplete].

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), suggesting that the vessel was successfully repaired. Fort William Roads are not noted as such on the 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map.
