12 April 1875, NANCY, 30 yrs old, of Liverpool, wooden schooner, 83 tons, 4 crew, Master and Owner W. Williams, departed Port Dinorwic for Middlesboro', carrying slates, wind ENE1, stranded, Duncansby, Pentland Firth.

Dunnet, by Thurso. [By tel. dated Castletown, 12th Apl., 12.40 p.m.]. The schooner NANCY, of Liverpool, laden with slate, is ashore at Duncansby head, Pentland firth.

Huna, 12th Apl., the NANCY (schr.), of Liverpool, from Wales to Middlesboro', while passing through the Pentland firth, ran ashore during thick fog at Duncansby head, and is expected to become a total wreck. The cargo (slate) will probably be all lost.
