NH43SE 72 45720 31590

This field-system is situated on a SE-facing slope in heather moorland about 700m ENE of Balbeg farmsteading. It comprises short stretches of stony banks and lynchets and at least twenty-four small cairns in an area measuring 175m from N to S by 90m transversely. Some of the banks appear to be little more than linear scatters of field clearance defining plots of ground measuring up to 25m in length and 12m in breadth. The footings of a single hut stand within the field-system at NH 4572 3159.
