Wick, 17th Mar., a French lugger, laden with fishing materials, got ashore at Huna, Pentland Firth, on the night of the 14th Mar.: the crew landed in safety: the cargo is being saved, but the vessel will probably break up: her name has not been as yet ascertained.

Wick, 19th Mar., the French lugger, wrecked in the Pentland firth, was the VICTOR & LOUIS, D 65, Claeysen, bound to Iceland.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting that she was successfully recovered.
Huna is not noted as such on the 1999 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the Ness of Huna is at ND 363 738.
