The mill pond for Crackaig Farm mill (NC91SE 7.01) is viisble on postwar RAF vertical air photographs (CPE/Scot/UK 225, 3427-3428, flown 27 June 1947) about 180m S of the farmsteading and S of the A9 trunk road. The mill pond is depicted as a 'sluice' and 'dam' on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 25-inch maps (Sutherland, 1879, 1901, sheet lxxxix) respectively, but is not shown on the more recent OS 1:10560 of 1964. The pond re-appears on the current version of the OS digital 1:2500 map.
The mill pond is shown connecting to a 'mill lade' on the OS 2nd edition 25-inch.
