Not to be confused with 1893 loss of the same name, for which see ND16NW 8030.
Glasgow, 30th Oct., the ANNIE (schr.), of Castlehill, Baillie, in ballast, in entering Thurso river, 28th Oct., went on the rocks beneath Thurso castle, and remained yesterday: as the tides are falling, there is no chance of the vessel being got off until next springs.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Scrabster Castle (ND16NW 3) is at ND 1068 6915.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker 1998), which may suggest that she was successfully refloated.
