The remains of this farmstead, which comprise a long range, are situated immediately N of a modern cottage. The range, which could not be fully plotted by GPS survey, on the date of visit, contains a roofed cottage at its W end, with an entrance at the E end of its S side. Next to this is a smaller compartment with an entrance at the E end of its S side, and next again is a byre. The byre has an entrance at the W end of its S side, and on the N side the interior has three stalls divided by upright flagstones. The next compartment also has a doorway at the W end of its S side, and the last compartment is a kiln-barn, with a doorway midway along its S side. Within the kiln-barn infilled cruck-slots can be seen in the N and S walls, and the kiln is at the E end, its W face containing a flue and two ambries.
The range is depicted roofed, standing on the S side of a garden, on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxx; 1907, sheet xxx).
