This disused quarry is situated on the summit of the Hill of Ulbster about 80m SSE of the Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar (ND34SW 157). Roughly oval on plan, the grass and heather-grown pit measures 5.5m from N to S by 2m transversely and it has been dug into the slope on the W to a depth of 1.7m. There is a small mound of upcast on the E.
