This disused quarry is situated on the steep E flank of the Hill of Ulbster some 500m NNW of Mains of Ulbster farmsteading (ND34SW 304). Roughly oval on plan, but largely obscured by gorse and bracken, the quarry measures about 8m from NNE to SSW by 4.3m transversely and it has been dug into the slope on the W to a depth of 1.3m.
