This disused quarry is situated on the steep E flank of the Hill of Ulbster 475m NNW of Mains of Ulbster farmsteading (ND34SW 304). Roughly oval on plan, but largely obscured by gorse, the quarry measures about 13.3m from NNW to SSE by 4.6m transversely and it has been dug into the slope on the W to a depth of 1m.
