This disused quarry is situated at the S edge of an improved field of pasture 280m SE of Whiteleen farmsteading. Roughly oval on plan, the pit, which is water-filled and overgrown with rushes, measures 13.5m from NW to SE by 11.5m transversely. The pit is depicted on the latest edition of the Ordnance Survey 1:10,000 map (1976).
