This disused well is situated in a field of pasture 125m WNW of Gansclet farmsteading. Rectangular on plan, the well is enclosed on all sides except the SSW by a drystone wall and measures 0.7m from NNE to SSW by 0.45m transversely and 0.55m in depth. Nothing is now visible of any roof or capping. The well is depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1907, sheet xxix).
