ND34SW 235 32148 42946
This disused sandstone quarry is situated in rough pasture about 40m W of Whiteleen farmsteading (ND34SW 126). Irregular on plan, it measures about 10m from NE to SW by up to 2m transversely and it has been into the slope on the NW to a depth of 1.4m. The quarry is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
