ND34SW 330 ND 34130 43718
This disused quarry is situated immediately E of the Thrumster to the Mains of Ulbster public road about 110m NNE of Rose Cottage. Roughly oval on plan, it has largely been filled in, but measures 18m from N to S by 14.5m transversely and up to 2m in depth on the E. The quarry is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
