An area of rig-and-furrow cultivation is visible in heather moorland immediately to the N of the road to Brickigoe, some 380m WNW of North Yarrows farmsteading (ND34SW 148). The rigs, which are aligned NNW and SSE, measure up to 5.2m in breadth by 0.1m in height and are separated by waterlogged furrows 1m broad. The surrounding area is boggy and has been cut for peat.
