Source: The Marine List, LL, No. 5409, London, Tuesday August 3 1819.
NMRS, MS/829/71 (no. 6037).
The location assigned to this record is tentative. Elsy Point is not noted as such on the 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map. Comparison with NMRS ND35SE 8048 ('Tails of Elsay') suggests a location near Staxigoe. The name may, therefore, apply to any of the numerous areas of coastal rock that are depicted.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 7 March 2005.
