The site of this small roadside quarry lies at the edge of a cultivated field about 150m SE of Lineside farmsteading (ND34SW 439). The quarry is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix), but it is visible on RAF vertical aerial photographs taken on the 9th May 1946 (RAF 106/G/SCOT/UK.74, print 3278-9).
