This circular stone-built sheepfold is situated in peaty moorland about 840m NW of Thrumster Mains Cottage (ND 32834 45068). It measures 12.2m in diameter within a drystone wall 1m in thickness by 1m in height, and there is an entrance on the SE. The fold is depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
