This disused quarry has been dug into the N bank of the Burn of Swartigill immediately E of a trackway that ascends the steep N face of the burn gully. It measures 17m from E to W by 12m transversely and up to 3.5m in depth, and was possibly opened to supply material for the thick earth and stone bank that lies immediately to the NNE.
