(NG 2474 5136) Hut Circle (NR)
OS 6"map, (1968)
A circular stone-walled hut measuring c.7.5m between the centres of a wall spread to c.2.0m. A few outer facing stones are visible in the E and S arcs and two inner facing stones can be seen in the W. The entrance in the WNW is ill-defined. Within the hut a curving wall has been built to form with the S arc of the hut a roughly oval enclosure c.3.0m by c.2.5m internal diameter with an ill-defined entrance in the NW. This is almost certainly secondary.
About 130.0m to the N at NG 2474 5136 is another circular stone-walled hut measuring c.8.0m in diameter between the centres of a wall spread to c. 1.5m. There is an earth-fast slab on edge set across the wall within the wall in the W and the S. The entrance is not evident.
There is no trace of contemporary cultivation.
Visited by OS (A C) 10 May 1961 and (A A) 2 November 1971.
