Full Description
This church is marked on the 1st edition OS map of 1872, but is not shown on the 2nd edition of 1907. It is not visible on any aerial photographs of the area. Site recorded as part of an archaeological desktop survey for the Resolis Water Mains Renewal Project. <1>
NOTE: The description in <1> has clearly arisen from a misunderstanding of the label for the remains of St Michael's Kirk on the other side of the road to the east being placed over a different building on the OS 1st edition. The label placing was amended on the OS 2nd edition, by which point the building on the west side of the road had been demolished [IS-L 03/05/2024].
