NLO: Whiteness Head [name: NH 803 587].
Nairn, 1st Nov. The COMET (sloop), of Alloa, Crocket, from Cromarty to Peterhead in ballast, went ashore to the east of Whiteness Head Buoy, 1st Nov., and remains.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting her successful recovery.
