NN58NE 12 5764 8876 to 5762 8889
A turf and moss-covered stone wall was recorded here during a detailed archaeological survey of Strathmashie Community Forest near Laggan, Highland. The survey was carried out to assess the evidence for past human use and to ascertain whether there was enough archaeology to develop a heritage trail in the forest. The dyke runs along the western side of the River Mashie for around 50m, then turns northwards for a further 70m. It comprises tumbled stone, making a structure between 0.5m and 1m wide.
