A probable dyke was recorded here during a detailed archaeological survey of Strathmashie Community Forest near Laggan, Highland. The probable dyke was located on a slight slope in a light pine forest. It survives today as a bending turf-covered linear feature. Stones are visible through the turf and the structure exists to a height of 0.5m and 1m in width. It runs S and then turns 90 degrees to the E. It appears to be the remains of an enclosure dyke. The survey was carried out to assess the evidence for past human use and to ascertain whether there was enough archaeology to develop a heritage trail in the forest.
