For successor Ness Bridges, see NH64NE 141.00 and 141.01.
This stone bridge was built in 1684, succeeding a number of timber predecessors, and incorporated a small prison cell. It was destroyed during a storm in January 1849, and was succeeded by the suspension bridge NH64NE 141.00.
