This disused quarry is situated in rough pasture about 170m SW of Markwell. Roughly D-shaped on plan, with the chord of the D formed by the cutting in which trackbed of a disused railway (ND34SW 499) sits, it measures up to 30m across from NE to SW and over 2m in depth.
