A small boat, about 12 feet of keel, green on the inside on a lead-coloured bottom for two streaks, with iron eyes fore and aft, drove on shore at this place yesterday: it is supposed to belong to some Norwegian, or a ship of that build: there are only two streaks with the keel.

A square sterned boat belonging to some vessel, drove on shore at this place: she is about 16 feet of keel, painted green on the inside, black outside, with a blue upper streak, no name on her, two or three streaks broke off on one side: she is all sprung in coming in amongst the rocks.

The map sheet and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record are essentially arbitrray being derived from the reported location of discovery of the boat. The vessel may have foundered offshore, possibly beyond Scottish waters.
