Inverness, 6th Jan. The MAID OF THE MILL, of Blyth, Redford, from Riga to Belfast, with linseed, ran aground on the south east side of this harbour on the 3rd Jan., and will probably require to be lightened before she can be floated: as yet she does not appear to have sustained any damage.
Source: The Marine List, LL, No. 13,662, London, Friday January 15 1858.
NMRS, MS/829/72 (no. 9451).

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting her successful recovery.
